Monteverde

What an amazing place! We have to admit that we agree that the roads to get to Monteverde have to be some of the worst roads we have ever been on. We did not get 4-wheel drive and there were times that we thought we might lose the car in a hole or a huge boulder in the middle of the road. We thought last night in the darkness why would anyone own a cottage up here? Then we woke up this morning and we knew why....what a beautiful place. Wow! The cottage we rented for just $60 a night is wonderful. If you ever plan to go to this area of Costa Rica, I highly recommend this place and it is so quiet.
